Pinned down, death preserved in the frozen forms of fragile insects... a snap from the Met Museum in New York. I worry my fascination with dead animals is a little odd.
This shiny hoof belongs to the statue of a boy in the most beautiful gardens of a Greek castle on the island of Corfu. I imagine that generations of people have tickled the toes for luck, wearing down and polishing them to this bright bronze.
